New Haircut

Today is the first time I went for a haircut till cry T_T I don't like the new haircut! Super upset.

I'm leaving to New Zealand is about 4 days time. Thought wanted to have a fresher look who know that's the result. I hate it when thing doesn't go the way I want.

Reason being, I have already told the stylist how I want it but still he was still trying so hard the style he wants. And I told him times, I appreciate but I really don't like.

Ended up I have to cut the side even shorter to cover up his mistakes. Arghhhh!

I don't want to look ugly in front of Him after 4 months apart and in front his friends too. I know it doesn't look so bad but... I expect it to be nicer!

Call me a perfectionist!

No mood, off for bed :( ciao!

Note: He said is nice and he love me still no matter how ugly is my haircut but I just don't want! :(

Dukan Diet (cont.)

Breakfast - shrimp omelet and a mug of full cream milk

Late lunch aka dinner - chicken fillet with omelet

Remember I had a blog entry about Dukan Diet weeks ago?

I only did it for 3 days and I lost at least 1.5KG! Amazing isn't it?

I started back again on Monday.

Too much of good food for a couple weeks earlier.

Back to Alor Star, then 4 Raya Ope House within 2 weeks and heavy lunch gathering...

OH NO, I GAINED 2KG!!

Anyway, when I weighted myself this morning,

I have already back to the weight (even lesser) when I finished my 3 days Dukan Diet earlier.

HAPPY!

It's hard and you really need a very strong determination during working days, especially lunch time :(

I have no problem for breakfast and dinner; I have soya bean milk in the morning and full cream milk at night.

I found one mixed rice stall at Plaza Central (next to KLCC).

If only take chicken, tofu and egg; it's about RM4 (with soup).

Cheap isn't it?

I don't mind to eat there, can easily get my protein source food there and save money too.

Problem is, these few days are raining cats and dogs when comes to lunch time :(

I have no choice to eat in KLCC and my purse is bleeding TAT

No more extra spending during weekends.

Thus, I bought a pack of shrimps, chicken fillet, frying floor, eggs and milk home on Friday night after work.

In the morning, I have a mug of full cream milk and shrimp omelet.

It only take me less than 10min to prepare. And it's yummy!

I went for facial and groupon spa treatment in the afternoon till 5+

Protein source of food really help me to stay hunger a lil longer.

Can you imagine, I tahan till 5pm then only have my lunch.

For my late lunch, it only spend me 20min :)

Defrost the chicken fillet, mix with frying flour, heat up the oil and fry it.

Apparently, it's not oily fry with the frying flour.

Add 2 omelets done my dinner.

It's already 10.30pm and I'm still feeling full haha!

Working hard on my diet, wish to shed another 2KG before my trip to New Zealand.

I have no worries to maintain my protein diet there but not for Taipei...

If possible, will need to ensure I have extra quota before my Taipei trip wahaha!

#11 has become such a beautiful number to me since 11th Oct 2010. And, it meant a lot to me too.
It's been 2 months we are apart 5451 miles away...
It's real tough in the beginning but things are getting better, I would say.

Updates for my Dukan Diet for Day 3:

Breakfast - Omelet with bacon & hot Milo milk

Late lunch: Black Pepper Chicken Chop with 2 Eggs and plain water

Dinner: Feeling full still with my late lunch so I just keep drinking plain water =.=

Update 2:

There's some changes of my flight itinerary to New Zealand.

I wish this matter can be solved soonest possible, it left another 8 weeks.

And I have to make the necessary changes based on the latest travel itinerary.

Didn't sleep well the night before,

too upset with my stupid fellas.

Huuu...!!..

Too tired already last night,

slept soundly the whole night after popped my medicine.

Hehe.

And woke up feeling so good this morning :)

Updates on my day 2 Dukan Diet

Breakfast - Omelet with bacon *yum*

Lunch - Marmite marinated chicken drumstick with omelet

Snack - Melaleuca Attain Bar

Dinner - hot Milo milk

Farmhouse UHT taste a lot better than this brand.

And guess what, when I weighted myself on the scale this morning,

I'm 0.5kg lighter :)

When I'm "examine" my body in front of mirror,

I can feel that my tummy and waist look firmer too.

I have decided to continue having omelet with bacon as breakfast everyday!!

Tomorrow resume to work, I know it will be hard to be on Dukan Diet,

with the result within short time frame,

I'm motivated to try my very best to stay on!!

Note:

If you find difficult to stay on protein diet,

it is fine still consume fruits & vege just you won't get the result in short time frame.

And please cut carbo!

I was too bored yesterday and giving my iPhone4 a "housekeeping", reorganize all the applications I have ...

Time flies, today is the last day the 3 days Merdeka Raya Break.

Have to spend my "last day" wisely ...

Plans:

1. Attend 2 yoga classes tonight.

2. Pack my clothes for my beach holiday in Kijal this coming weekend.

3. Finish as many episode of my korean series as possible.

4. Nap as much as I can.

5. Plan for my 2 days in Auckland - HAHA if I feel like doing, booked my accommodation and transport, don't feel like doing tourist thingy, just relaxxxxx so no plan still HAHAHA!~

AND I'M READY TO BE BACK TO WORK TOMORROW!~

p/s: it's already 1st Sept, 2 more months to go and I will be seeing my baby in NZ

My Dukan Diet (Day 1)

Aloha!~

I think I have mentioned about Dukan Diet these two words quite frequent lately.

In my previous blog entry, FB, Twitter, word of mouth ...

And YES, I would like to use Dukan Diet to help me shed some extra pounds

and firm up my current-all-over-ugly flabby.

It is not easy to substitute all your meals with only protein foods k, especially me,

who enjoy eating so much HUUUU!

Before I starting my sharing, let's share with you guys what's Dukan Diet all about...

(I was inspire by Kate Middleton, she has it before her wedding and she looked so charming and having a very nice body figure on the wedding day itself. I wanna be!!)

Summary from Wikipedia:

Dukan Diet is one of the most popular diet plans in France.

It is a protein based diet designed by French nutritionist and dietitian, Pierre Dukan.

There're four specific phases: attack, cruise, consolidation and stabilization.

Attack Phase is designed to enable you to rapidly lose 2-3kg in 2-7days by kick-starting your metabolism.

You are allowed to eat as much as you want of protein-rich foods.

Cruise Phase is designed to allow you to more gradually achieve the weight you aim for by eating protein-rich foods with the addition of vegetables. The length of this phase is usually calculated as 1kg of weight loss per week, based on your specific personal goal.

Consolidation Phase is designed to help in preventing any future massive weight gain. During this phase, fruit, bread, cheese and starchy foods are reintroduced into a normal diet, leaving one to two celebratory meals a week.

Finally, Stabilization Phase, you can essentially eat whatever you want without gaining weight by having at least one protein diet once a week to avoid regaining the weight.

For me, I try my very best to have more protein foods instead...

Since Mer-Raya (Merdeka + Hari Raya) Holiday is 3 days in a row

so I would like to take this opportunity to kick start.

I will try to post up foods taken and the result.

Current weight - 50kg

(digital weighing machine; anyone can tell me why am I lighter on analog one instead, 48kg only, 2kg different and it makes a huge different)

Target weight - 45kg

Duration - 2 months

Plan of exercise:

Yoga, jogging, swimming, mini stretching exercise and roller massage

Day 1: Breakfast

(Omelet & bacon with hot Milo milk)

Day 1: Late Lunch

(Miso soup with sukiyaki and tofu)

Day 1: Snack

(DANG!!!!! no sugar is allowed actually but...

I'm ain't in good mood and want to chew something

so I have my Vit C drink with snack bar)

Suddenly thought of 10th July 2011.

It was the worse day I ever have in my life.

It is hard to say goodbye to your loved one ...

It's coming 2 months.

Things are getting better for both sides.

Tears are lesser.

Arguments (cause of misunderstanding & the need of more attention) are lesser too.

I Gtalk him this afternoon, saying "promise me, no matter what, we will never leave one another"...

And he said, "ok, even if one day, I love you no more ..."

That's him ... HIM, the one I'm in love with, very very very much ...

That's him ... HIM, the one I'm going to spend my life with ...

That's him ... HIM, the one I will not betray ...

Another 9 more weekends to go, then I'm going to see him in real.

Potato Salad

It was a lazy Sunday, overslept and missed my morning yoga class.

My muscle pain still making me feeling so hard to get myself up from the bed this morning.

By the time, I'm awake, it's already 10+

Haha :D

Fruit & Vege Juice + Mee Sedap for breakfast.

Walking here and there at home, wondering what can I do ...

Aha :P trying new recipe, potato salad.

It's very simple (thanks to my cousin sister, Stella again, for the sharing)!

Ingredients:

Potato (2), Mayonnaise, Vinegar & Onion.

Steps:

1. Boiled the potato till it is soft. You can use chopstick to poke through the potato,

if you can, means the potato is cooked.

2. Remove the potato skin.

3. Smash the potato. At this step, you can add in Mayonnaise and Vinegar.

4. Mix till it is balanced mixed then add in cut onion (in small cubes).

5. Mix again then you are done!

6. Fridge it for 30minutes, then it is ready to be served.

p/s: tonight onwards, i'm going on Dukan Diet. Only protein is allowed, not vege/fruits/carbo!~

wish to shed some extra pounds.

pray for me guys, I need to win the 3 months challenge with my baby.

I need to stay firm!!

Determination is hell important for me now!!

Trying New Recipe

Saw my cousin sister, Stella posted some nice yummy picture

of her mom home cook when she back to hometown.

There's this very egg-y dish caught my interest.

I LOVE EGGS, so as baby :)

Finally, I called her up yesterday evening when

I was driving home from work for the RECIPE!

Despite I was late for my yoga class,

I decided to go for grocery shop for all the ingredients.

(HUU skipped 2 days 4 classes due to massive traffic jam, feeling so guilty)

Okay, keep it short & go to the points

(I know you going to say so AHA!)

Ingredient:

Sliced onion (1), capsicum (1/2), tomato (1), 2 slices of cheese & 3 eggs.

Steps:

1. Cook the sliced onion till soften then add in sliced capsicum & tomato.

2. Stir till all ingredients are soften, add in pinch of salt and pepper.

3. When all are well cooked, pour in the 3 eggs, use the chopstick to mix the egg yolk with the veggies.

4. Then, add in the cheese. Cook for 3-4 minutes and it is ready to be served!

Easy, isn't it??..!!

Teng teng...!!

Tips:

1. You can eat with bread for breakfast, served with a glass of orange juice to start the day :)

2. You can add in shrimp/crab meat if you are not a veggie type of person.

11th July 2011, our 9th month anniversary.

It was such a remarkable day for us.

Joe is already in New Zealand, reached there on 11th July.

And me, starting my new job in Maxis on the same day too.

While ah O, need to learn to be alone while I'm working.

If you have read my previous posts, you should be able to feel how upset I am for Joe's leaving.

Hell ya, I was crying even weeks before he left.

Crying nonstop while my way back home from airport.

Good that I'm better now but still ... hahaha :D

Guess it would be better once I started my work (hmm, attending 4 days of orientation now (: I' m having lots of fun and yay I make the right decision. Though, I still kept getting calls for ABM position, Unilever & KAO ohhhh ... ><)

I have faith with Joe,

and I need to kick start my diet plan immediately to be ready

for our ROM by end of next year.

WE WILL! :)

I kept reminding myself to stay tough here

cause I have friends & family around me

but he is all alone (luckily he got KK there).

I see this as the challenge to strengthen our relationship before we tie the knot.

Thanks God for the extra half a year to make us know each other better, grow the love before he left.

my last day

Today is my last day with F&N Diaries (M) Sdn Bhd as Assistant Brand Manager in RTD Team.

Done with my handover yesterday.

All important documents are saved in this Sunkist USB Pendrive

so that the new person replacing me can kick start with his/her role immediately.

so funny of Salwa, writing "We will miss you" on the "container" not like this is for me :P

cleaned up my cubicle too :)

Can't sleep well last night, been start my crying marathon when I was driving home yesterday evening.

Haha I'm not too sentimental because of leaving F&N but ...

... my baby

He is leaving in less than 48hours :'(

Of course, I will surely miss my "ex-colleagues" to-be.

We have a new family member!

Our son.

Me & my hubby beloved son, Othello aka ah O :)

The name, Othello was given by Papa Joe.

He is all white but the black nose making him look like Othello game,

and here comes this name.

Othello is too long, so we called him ah O and Mommy calling him baby.

I wouldn't be all alone anymore, I have ah O after baby left the country.

JoeJoe hubby is leaving this Sunday.

Feeling a lil upset the beginning of this week for not being able to spend more time with him,

can't take any leave.

Hmm... I'm leaving F&N.

This Friday will be my last day so I can't take any of my Annual Leave within these period of time.

Starting new job by next Monday, just like JoeJoe hubby, reaching NZ this coming Monday too.

Both of us are starting a brand new life,

pray for us, please!

I need to be more independent while baby is not around.

And lucky me, I have ah O :)

p/s: ah O is with Papa Joe now. This week is Papa week. Thought both of them can spend more time together before Papa left. And mommy was too stressed up last week, so Papa Joe is giving Mommy a week break :)

p/p/s: hmm a lot of people having bad comments about our long distance relationship but i have faith on him :) he is the man who walk his talk. he has my words and i have his words. it's time for us to work hard for our own future before we tie the knot. can't wait!

I found this out when I was browsing www.tw.yahoo.com - KamiColle (It's FREE!).

This app is designed for those who wanted to change for a new hairstyle

(It came with the latest trended hairstyle) but not dare enough to give it a shot.

I tried some and I think I looked mature in this:

Yupppp! I cut my hair short :) Love it. I just can't stand with my long curled out hair anymore.

It was so random. It happened on last Wednesday after work, I was stuck in the jam to Kuchai Lama, then i google search salon nearby. Then I saw the salon just right in front me. And, I parked the car and that's it my short hair hahaha! Feel so satisfied and I think I suit short hair more (look younger!!!).

Today is Friday :) Can't wait to see my baby.

3 more weeks.

No worries, I'm fine already cause I have confident :) teeeeheeee!

japanese rice, vinegar, sugar, mayonese, seaweed spread, crabmeat, egg, cucumber and love (lotsa love)

steps:

(i) cook japanese rice using rice cooker, it takes about 15-20minutes.

for the 15-20minutes time, you can actually use it to prepare the "stuffing".

once the rice is cooked, add vinegar + mayonese + sugar for the taste.

(ii) cook the crab meat with hot water. slice the cucumber in thin stick.

fried the tamago and slice it. for the tamago, i add pinch of sugar :)

(iii) once everything is ready, rolling the maki time!

get a sheet of seaweed spread, spread the rice, add the "stuffing" then roll it, that easy!

(iv) chiang chiang! get ready some vinegar and knife.

(you can put some vinegar on knife for easy cutting)

(v) done! my maki roll with all my love. *YUM*

i'm a sushi fanatic.

My diet plan

as mentioned in my earlier post,

i have a diet challenge deal with crystal.

1 month challenging starting 7th May - 7th June.

and i.

i just kick start,

after my period.

(1 week after period will be the golden week for diet *happy*)

for this round,

i'm aiming to lose 3kg,

with the help of attain nutrition shake & fiber wise.

my plan:

(breakfast) 1 scope of attain nutrition shake (chocolate flavor)

*i used to add another one more scope of amway protein but my colleague was telling me the protein contained already enough. i guess that's why i can't lose weight even though i started bout 1 month already. however, good thing is, no matter how big meal i have, i never gain weight but maintain :)

so for this time round, i will skip amway protein

(morning break) fiber

(lunch) normal lunch out with colleagues

(dinner) fiber

*attain if i'm hungry

my weight as of this morning: 48kg

(hmm not sure is it accurate, tried weighted at fitness center before, i was 3 kg heavier than the weight i weighted at home =.=)

target: 45kg!!

not to forget: exercise!

i have plan with crystal to go her place for swimming,

twice a week.

exercise is important to tone up my body.

my weight is stagnant for quite some time even though i was on diet.

joe was complaining and teasing me sure i won't success for this round.

hmmm! i'm going to show him the result with my determination.

i never really have such a lazy day, all alone, by myself.

i spend most of my weekends with my bb.
he is leaving the country real soon,
thus, the time with him before he left is really precious to me.

i have a few plans on mind for the day but ended up ...
I SPENT MOST OF THE TIME ON BED,
reading 九把刀's books.
(i'm addicted to his books because of bb)
and i finished 3 books in 1 day :)

making "Unbake Cheese Cake" plan was cancelled last minute as well.
i would put the blame to the unforeseen weather.
ohhhh yaaa!~

:) simple dishes for light dinner/supper - 泡菜煎饼

Ingredient:

flour, kimchi, egg (x1), water & pinch of salt

Steps:

1. Cut kimchi into smaller pieces.

2. Mix the flour, egg (x1) with water, It shouldn't be too fluid.

3. Add pinch of salt for the taste.

4. Fried it just like how you fried a pancake :).

5. Really to serve with ketchup. Yum!~

home sick. miss my mom, my dad, my brothers, my home sweet home and everything back in alor star ...
funny isn't it? i've been not staying with my parents for more than 10 years but still "that feeling" is always following me.

i went back hometown last two weeks. not a short one, not a long one too, 5 days :) it is always great to be home, be my daddy & mommy girl - the lil princess of them ♥ sweet sweet sweet ...

few words ain't enough to express my love for my family. i'm a lucky girl. yes, i am! and i'm very proud to be in the family. you will never know how supportive my family will be for me. too bad, i just understood it when i started my university life 5-6 years back (oh no! i'm old already ... oh no!...) in skudai. friends are important when you are outside but family ... they are one that will never fail you whenever you need them.

joejoe followed me back this time round too. and i feel very happy that he can mix well with my family; and they love him too. teeeeheee! both of me & joe are the luckiest one cause he has a great family too!

really thanks god for all the blessings!

poay eng jiu jiu left us for coming half a year already, time flies ... miss him still. i will still feel the heart pain every single time when think of him. sorry for my immature and thanks to my mom & aunties for all the courage to me to move on. stupid me! losing a family member you closed to is not easy to just leave it behind your mind. i believe he has back with my grandpa in the lovely land :) eventually we all will meet again one day.

things are unpredictable. family is precious.

spend more time for them and they would appreciate it than you just giving them $$ every months. they need love and not just money alone.

know what, i used to argue a lot with my mom when i was a teenage girl. ever since i went to uni, she becomes my best friend ever. she will always be there whenever i need her ♥

she knows my temper, she know my personality well ... she know how to calm me down ... she does magic!

i'm not feeling well this week. gastric attacking me again. period pain & gastric, when two come together, there's nothing to funny about. i feel touch, really ... she checks on me everyday to make sure my condition is getting better. (honestly, she did more than my bf did)

there's one time, when i was a young girl, guess i was 4. i had a nightmare, mom leaving me. i woke up crying and looking for my mom, crying loudly when i saw her in the kitchen. i still remember i was with my teddy bear and my mom came hug me to calm me now. funny is, till now, i always mix up my dream with my real life, my dreams are always so true to believe.

my mom is a very sentimental type. when i went back for this year cny, we talked about my engagement, she was telling my dad, "oh, i thought it wasnt true. it's no joke and i feel sad" ... mom, i wanted to tell you, no matter what, i will always your daughter! and i want to be your daugther forever and ever.

i have no idea why am i keep having nightmares these days. maybe i should just get a dream catcher.

again, last night. the funny thing is that what i dreamt of was the fear i have for myself relating to gossip girl series i'm addicted too.

friendship. i start to realise that once you get older, your so-called best friends are getting lesser and lesser. and you start to appreciate more on the close relationship you have with family. the first time having this kind of feeling was when i entered UTM. i was the only one in my "gang" that in JB, others are in KL. i felt depressed ...

anyway, it wasn't that bad. after 3 years course, everyone apart with their own dreams. meeting another batch of people and changing another new job, you met another batch of new people ... (that's why i have so many friends in my Facebook friend list).

ask yourself, the closest friend you can rely on when you are having problem ... i bet one hand five fingers are far more than enough.

betrayal? yes, i guess it happened to all of us. i'm considered soft-hearten type, i forgive though i'm madly mad when i found out.

i used to have this good friend that i share every single secrets. it was a big shocked when i found she actually betrayed me. i wasn't sure how to deal with it for this time round ... i thought i forgave but i realise i was not.

time heals? maybe, perhaps.

i was watching gossip girl season 3 last night, i bet you guys know what is it all about in gossip girl, backstab ... betray ... and i had a stupid dream bout this friend who betrayed me. AND the worse thing is i always make my dream connecting with my life ... argh! feeling insecure for no reason ... funny me, i would say!

2011 resolutions. simple & high EQ, the keywords

Jan 2011 is coming to the end and Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Many have back to their home sweet home and get ready for CNY celebration. Me? Shy to say that I will be only be home day before CNY. Pity, isn't? Life ... I shouldn't complain much, better than those who are out from the country and couldn't make it for the celebration.
I'm learning to appreciate what I have ... & be thankful for everything I have.

I believe you have set a new list of 2011 resolutions, so do I. I got it done night before 01.01.2011, just ... it was dragged till now then only have chance to put it up here.

Time flies. 2010 is a year filled with laughers and cries ... nothing to complain about, it is a process to be stronger :) I learn to be more thankful for what I have now, life is so fragile and so unexpected, and I would like to lead a life without any regrets.

Let's do a review for the resolutions set in year 2010:

1. Career
Check! I'm now Assistant Brand Manager in F&N Dairies now. Although I'm still not really sure bout this decision made but I keep telling myself, why not just give myself 1 year time to try it out. There's nothing I will lose but gain. Stay positive!

2. Stay pretty
Hmm was 47/8 before my Bali trip 2 weeks ago. Keeping fit is a lifetime "career" for every single girl. This year target - 43 - 45kg, I know it is ain't easy but more determination needed to make this coming true.

3. Car
Yes, my baby WUA =)

4. Travel
Budget constraint after I got my baby WUA. Guess things getting better after I change to F&N.

5. Blog more
Muahaha ... Trying ...

6. Love
It wasn't in my list BUT I found one I love and I have never expect it happened to me. Long way to go still ...

Not to bad, isn't it? Brave to myself!

Resolutions for year 2011:

Need to work hard for more money!!! High EQ needed and I really need to be more mature in handling my emotional.

relationship matters #01: you're still the one ♥

days ago, if i'm not mistaken, it was a thursday evening.
it was raining cats and dogs when i was driving home from work.
my mood was exactly like the downpour out there, emo max!

before joejoe called me up, radio station was start playing this song,
namely "you're still the one".
i was attracted to it, not because of the tune but its lyric of the beginning part,
"When I first saw you, I saw love. And the first time you touched me, I felt love..."

last week was a tough week.
i believe all relationship has its ups and downs.
it depending on how you two manage and go through...

i used to give up very easily...
but till you really meet someone really meant to you,
mind changed. and i think it is a good change, it should be this way.

i believe we always heard people saying,
starting a relationship is easy but...
maintaining it is really a deep knowledge you need to learn through your life.

no worries.
me & joejoe are okay now.
(thanks laogong! i promise i won't make such a big mistake anymore. it was really the biggest mistake i ever made and the consequences are BIG. i promise no more)

back to today topic! hmm, how to maintain a healthy relationship:

♥1 respect

it is crucial. everyone have their own thinking, how they value things is different simply because we are unique. when two becomes one, it is always sweet at the very beginning, your loved one will always be someone flawless to you during this honeymoon period. however, like i mentioned earlier, maintaining a good relationship is really a big knowledge! being together is all about how you live with him/her to become one. no matter how match you two are, surely will have different thoughts when come to certain stuffs, thus, it is the time "respect", this element coming in. respect your loved one might have different thoughts, understand why and work the best way out of it. don't scare of any "shaky moment" might comes, believe me, it will makes you two stronger when you two overcome it.

♥2 being together

you have to find it fun and wanted to spend time with your loved one. i'm not asking you to stick with your loved one 24-7. we all lead our own life and we have our own circle of friends but it is important, always find time, a quality one to be with your loved one. i will busy with my work and joejoe too, he spends most of his time drawing, and he need to stay focus. we prefer not to disturb each other when we are busy. agree with me or not, when you are busy, you might hurt your loved one when you are bothered by something. what i would like to share, is really ... not sure what word i can use to explain this kind of feeling (IT IS AWESOME!), when i was taking my 1 min off missing my joejoe, he will surely call and say he loves me, haha! yay i feel we are so much connected. that's a simple trick you can use :)

find a hobby for you two. what i have in plan, i'm going to list down what we want to do together and we have a checklist then complete together. awesome, isn't it? hehe! latest to do: puzzle! anyway we are still looking for one hehe!

♥3 not holding anger

hahaha! i have my pms and joejoe has its anger. hmm sometime one have to be nice when the other one is on fire. and not to angry over one matter for more than a week. it will torturing both of you two, trust me! i experienced it, arghhh! don't like!

♥4 listening

listening is important. however, if only listening not going to work for you. listen & digest it - that's the way! maintaining a relationship is all about learning what's the difference of you two and how you work things out for these two very unique persons to be one :) challenging, isn't it?

spend time talk to your loved one everyday, knowing their days and be involved/part of their life. oh ya, some great tips! girls mumble quite a lot and they complain almost everyday. bare with them, sometime you just need to listen and they don't really need your solutions. why am i saying this is because a couple might start arguing when their guys start giving solutions while the girls don't need it. maybe. that's the nature of a guy.

♥5 being yourself
sometime, one may lose his/her identity after he/she is attached. it is not healthy!
a relationship is about growing together, if you are too attached to one, becareful, you might be sliding down while another part is growing. then comes the gap!

you can't make your complaint. it's all about yourself, you lead your own life! you must learn to stand at your own feet. a more independent girl always loved more by his guy :) ♥

update: i'm no longer with Leo Burnett. it was not an easy decision to leave the agency, till now, am still missing everyone there. it's been 6 weeks me at F&N Dairies now. everything is new to me, awaiting me to explore. hiccups? sure! but i will take it as challenges for a better and stronger me =)

yeah, july is ending *cant wait*

july is ain't good month for me. serious. lotsa things happened, and feeling glad that am not so bad luck.

hmm caryn asked me a good question today, "so are you excited bout the new change?"

i didn't answer her. just don't know how to answer her.

today my 1st meeting with my new client (and tomorrow am having my last wip meeting, is been 2 years working on the account). i can surely give an answer to caryn now, yes! am excited bout it. i think i back to me (the two years ago me).

i had a long talk with my boss earlier, telling her i need a new environment and i think i'm just not suitable for the job. hehe, she always know what is bordering me. am glad for all the chances she gave.

guess things happened this while, make me losing my focus, am too emotional attached. i learned one lesson, never ever get too emotional attached, this round proved how worse case you will be if you did it. fallback plans are important!

guess, things getting better. and guess what, my new client inspired me how to get going. she is such a nice person that you won't even want to get mad on her (told by mel). think, if you continue to be a good nice person, eventually people will see it.

ready for my new challenges? yes, of course! am making sure my fallback plans are really great enough to support me in the future same things happened, now building it hehee!

i know, i know, i know. today is monday, is ain't a day for such a "lovely" topic. i should be busy around and stressed up with my works. hmm. not so agree. i think the wish list will cheer me up and work harder for the week, motivation to get what you want, the ooom, don't ya all agree? hehe

okay, as you all know, i love to pray. i will pray for anything i want, and i do pray for friends. till the extend, people will start asking me, "hmm caroline, is your prayer works?". it depends, by luck, but prayers make me feel ... hmmm how to explain huh ... am just getting use to pray, since i was really really young.

what's my wish list?

#1 camera - Olympus EP2
#2 mini schnauzer (i know caryn, pat and who ever read this gonna tell me, NO WAY YOU GONNA OWN ONE. but ... hmm ... i kept dreaming of myself getting one)
#3 house (you serious??? yes i am. i thought of getting house even before i get my car. hopefully am getting it by end of next year, i know it is hard but, don't under estimate me k)

haha. yay only 3, for now (for the moment, in my mind). see, am not greedy at all. see, all incur $$$$$ so i need to work harder, and smarter as well. hahaha!

i ♥ doodling. i doodle when i'm upset, i saw some nice quotes, wanted to get motivated ... found this in the doodling pad i have last week thought it would be quite meaningful to share with you guys - 5 ways to mature adulthood.

#01 avoid blaming past

things happened. there's no point to stand still there feeling regret and upset about the mistakes already done. why not, look for another alternative way and go ahead. life is full with choices and different choices you take, lead you to different you, you will be. am learning not to spend too much time, act like a sober in some mistakes i made. i love to express my feeling but not always your closed one available for you all the time and sometime i just don't wanna burden them with my -ve thought i might have, doodling helps me move on :)

#02 remember you can't be liked at all of the time

hehe :D am learning hard for this. i perceive strongly how people think & feel about me most of the time. i will get emo and upset if i feel doesn't go as what i wish which i seriously need to not to be. emo will only make my life difficult. learned from current issue faced, guess am too emotional attached to one thing and when thing doesn't go the way i want to be, i become emo and i can't stay focus. no way, if am my way to mature adulthood. thanks boss for all the supports, never feel disappointed by me and all the chances given *appreciate*

#03 don't expect to get everything right

i hate uncertainties. yes i am. you will never know how much i hate bout uncertainties, i can get really really upset and become cave-woman hiding in my own little world when thing doesn't get the way i want. now, am better. try to think positive, i know i went through a lot of heart breaking, backstabbed, mistrust bla bla bla you name it, but without all these, my life will be just a plain white paper, correct??! i believe God always have something better for you so don't get too upset when things happened

#04 try not to feel responsible for other people all the time

hmm what i would say? never think you are a savior all the time cause you will never be :)

#05 push yourself

whether you believe it or not, i will never compete with anyone but myself. if you are friends of mine, you will know how i am. hmm i know i need to slow down my speed but i just can't. i always push myself to be a better person, maybe you will feel tired for me but this is how i lead my life. no worries, am enjoying, i have targets for myself, once i make it, is a great accomplishment for me, and that kind of satisfaction is unexplainable. try it and you will know

A short break ♥

Another 8 more hours to go :'(
Ehm. No tears dropping, carol!ne but let's get excited & start counting the days towards the next short break in this coming Sept (2 more months to go) *hehee*

After I got my baby wua, I tell myself there's no travelling for this year and start all over again saving my money. Kinda stress. Now I'm worry bout every single cents I spent and getting stressed up especially beginning of the month whether the sum of money I earn can cover my expenses or not. Mio told me, it is normal for the couples of month to be worrying about but slowly will be fine. Maybe what she said is true, for me, a commitment freak, I might just need extra times comparing others. Anyway, am proud of myself for taking the step to commit to my baby wua.

This 6-day off is my planned leave in the beginning of the year. No travelling abroad but back home lazying & get myself showered with love by my lovely daddy mommy grandpa grandmas uncles aunties bros & cousins. I didn't do much, spent most of my time lazying around, YES IT'S TRUE if you know me well enough you will know what I will do (ZZZzzz sleep sleep sleep?? BINGO!).

Not too bad, after all. My accomplishments in these 6days:
#1 Give my bb princessdiary88.blogspot.com a brand new look - even more retro kinda girlish look *love it to the max*
#2 Read 3 books - 2 & half actually *hehee* not bad!
#3 Watched DVDs (and bought extra 3 sets - to be used to kill my time back to KL)
#4 Ate a lot a lot
#5 Slept a lot a lot
#6 Doodle a lot a lot

what else?...

#7 WORLD CUP yahooooo! German Go Go Go!!! Anyway, I missed 2 midnight matches hahaa can't wake up thought I set alarm and my dad trying to wake me up kekekee!

Though there's some @#$%^ tensed me up during my break, so far, it is a great one, especially back to home and enjoy being daddy mommy girl *lovely*

Alright, back to KL, gonna work hard in my work and DIET *see pic shown below then you will know why* (there's lots but ... after loooong consideration, better not showing all hahaha! scare you guys jealous-lah).

ouch! it hurts!! my pocket was burnt a big hole BUT i am happy with achievements i made ;)

according to wikipedia, "retail therapy is shopping with the primary purpose of improving the buyer's mood or disposition. often seen in people during periods of depression or transition, it is normally a short-lived habit, items purchased during periods of retail therapy are sometimes referred to as "comfort buys".

hmm ... honestly, it hurts a lil' as of today after i paid off my downpayment for my 1st car (only getting a myvi, how i wish i can get vw beetle, nevermind, am working hard towards that!), i don't even dare to look at the balance. shit! gotcha ikat perut for the rest of the month.

called up my mom, complaining on the big spent, she was laughing at me and asking whether do i need money from her. hmm .. i am definitely not getting money from her. siao meh!! shameful! by the way, am touch for her offering *sweet sweet sweet*

think from a good way, saving the money all over again!! and ikat perut so that i can win in my upcoming challenge with jing jing, which due on 20th june!

weeks ago, one of my sessions in sharper training with tyl (our creative director), we were given an assignment in this 2 hour session. go get anything that best present yourself in 15min then come back to the amphitheatre for a presentation about yourself. it was really interesting! what i learned from this session is that,
nobody will know what you stands for, "tools" you chosen played an important role, you will either deliever what you trying to communicate or else, you will just lost in the no-where.

as mentioned earlier, this year will be the 3rd year Dutch Lady celebrating World Milk Day. and for this year celebration, it is going to be bigger, better and bolder!!

we are having Malaysia Book of Records attempt breaking for "The Biggest Milk-Drinking Event Ever" in this coming Sunday @ Pavilion KL. Besides the attempt breaking part which take place in the morning (make sure you come before 10.30am for the registration ya!), we do have full day of activities there! My new bought "black gadget"

In my previous entry, was so undecisive, whether to cut my hair short (a crew cut) or keep it long ...

Hmm ... yay, I'm boring with looooong hair, reason being why, I hate my curl-but-not-really-curly hair and I'm damn lazy to spend like an hour every morning to curl it with curler. Yay, I am type get bored very easily and I ain't type like Bluey Pang can wake up like an hour earlier just to "dress up" her hair (kakaka, she is going to kill meeee *help!*).

I wanted to get this black color thingy for very long time, I have one when I was back in secondary school time. And I found it in Chamelon @ KLCC when I was doing my hair accessories shopping with my dearest Yirun. HAPPY!!! I found my "black gadget", with only RM 5.90, it saves my pocket from burning big hole (which my pocket already burnt *geez*, back to it later) =)

RM 170 vs RM 5.90, which will you go for?? You're an idiot if you choose RM 170! If you thought of getting a curler, stop it, just get this lil' "black gadget" will do! Not only saving money, it protects your hair too, and and and it gives you a very natural wave =))

World Milk Day is coming!

Hey guys, World Milk Day is around the corner! This year will be the third year Dutch Lady celebrating World Milk Day on 1st June. I'm so glad to have the opportunity to work on this campaign, "Spread the Goodness of Milk" that leading to World Milk Day celebration.

The main objective of "Spread the Goodness of Milk" campaign is to educate Malaysians the goodness of milk then increase Malaysians' daily milk consumption. Not sure whether you guys still remember the two TV commercials that I posted in earlier Jan, do check it out if you had forgotten! I have two versions:

Version 1: Skin & Energy

Version 2: Slim & Sleep

Correcto! Drink 2 glasses of Dutch Lady milk will keep you energize, having good skin, good quality of sleep at night and STAY SLIM! Trust me, I'm not hardsell, we did do all the research on the milk benefits before hands. It amazed me to find out with only 2 glasses of Dutch Lady milk, I can have all these different benefits that I'm looking for.

Sharing:

#1 I drink 1 glass of milk as breakfast (sometime I do milkshake with fruits, yum yum!) to start my busy day then 1 more glass of hot milk before sleep (I know I have darkcircles but really hot milk helps me to have a quality sleep, I used to think a lot and had nightmares all night long, now, no more).

#2 Milk to stay slim, you must be thinking that I'm kidding you. NO, it is true! Sometimes I have meetings till pretty late to have my dinner, milk comes to "solve" my hunger & late craving.

#3 Skin?? My skin ... haha, not too bad, secret of milk, I seldom have pimples after I start drinking milk back to I just started to work. Again, maybe it is the remedy! And really, no pimples before period too =)

popo is sick. she is admitted to hospital & diagnosed having a tumor in her intestine :(

i just called her day before she admitted to hospital. she already not feeling well for about 2 weeks. when i talked to her, her voice was so weak but still she nagged me as usual, to eat my meals on time, becareful when i'm going home at late night ... asking me when i'm getting my car ...

mom is taking care of her at night. she called me this afternoon to check on me. yay, check on me, cause i wasn't feeling well since last thursday. popo is worry with me too though she is in hospital now *TOUCH*

omg i miss her so much!

trying to hold on my tears and called both my brothers to talk to them, they always got way to stop me from crying.

i have a very close relationship with my popo till my popo from dad side jealous. what to do. i stayed with her since i was 13 till i entered universities. i still remember how lovely she is ... she woke up very early every morning to prepare breakfast for me. i was very bad, i will sleep as much as i can, will only wake up when she walked up again and appeared in the doorstep (else i will continue to sleep, sleep and sleep). i was always last minute, rushing like hell so she will make sure my cereal/coffee/milk temperature is warm enough for me to drink immediately.

every night i will sure talk to her before sleep, any topics. haha! i still remember when i was in university, i miss her more than my mom :) she is a very strict person but i know what she did all for our own good. without her, i won't be one i am today. thank you so much popo! and i really love you.

today is 12th apr. yay, i know. i know it's not 1st apr but nobody said i can't trick one on 12 apr right? muahahaha!

hmmm... as promised, i will start writing on a seris of my life working in an advertising agency. and today is my 1st entry! see, i kept my promise, even though im super duper tired now. only slept for 2 hours plus last night & rushed for a shoot super early this morning and sacrify my bejeweled gaming time all just because to keep my promise. touch??? *sayang sayang* big girl/boy won't cry!

i was graduated in marketing but started my 1st job as brand executive in an advertising agency. why?? advertising is totally a @#$%^& to me and i have better offers at the same time. why?? why am i so stupid choosing to be in this industry? and i still remember i cried during my 1st week. im struggling like hell, everything is totally new to me, i have no idea on the process flow which is a must know if you are in the industry. after days of crying, i tell myself, okay im going to take it as a challenge, if really not work, im going to leave after one month. guess what, this coming 26th may will be my 2 years with Leo Burnett already. hehe!

choosing to be in this industry not because i'm stupid k! people in this industry are all great and talented k! ahaha! hmm... i chosen this industry simply because i love brand planning, the satisfaction seeing the brand you build in days and days time growing is unexplainable. i'm really lucky to be given the opportunity to work in Dutch Lady account, which i get to not only doing ATL (above-the-line, like TV commercials, radio commercials and print) but BTL (below-the-line, for e.g. interactive, in store, event, pr, crm, social media marketing and etc) as well, in a word, 360 of the marketing plan.

working in this industry, you really need to scarify your time, you will become ffk queen (fong fei kei, in cantonese) among your friends. but i believe in hardworks you putting in will be paid off. that's the energy to push me further. you just need to be in love with your work, else you will ended up complain and complain, and complain, but things still the same. guess everyone work till certain point of time, they will "collapsed" but for me, i think the recognitions i get for all my hardworks really help (like my baby yes doing so well, winning so many awards *proud of my baby yes*). haha! i'm type that really need recognition. everyone looking for different kind of return, you just need to find it, make sure you get it (show of achieving something), once you do it, magic happened!

fun part working in agency is all about teamwork. i used to prefer to work individually when i was back in university time. since i working in Leo Burnett, i start to realize how important working in a team. everyday we meet different people, everyone with different characteristic, we communicate with different people, we talk to different people, that's all the fun i get working in advertising industry. apart of this, i think working environment really crucial, Leo Burnetters are fun and cool! There's no office politics, when work the art directors might treat you really strict but off work, wow, they are just like any other of us, and they are so genuine.

people in brand team will be more volatile comparing to creative people. we are always on the go, we will need to go out meet client, suppliers ... in short, different people everydays.

and not to forget, deadlines! hahaha! guess you guys will know that advertising industry is always about deadlines, deadlines, and deadlines! as a brand people, you will need to plan your timeline well so that you wouldn't be struggle with deadlines (easy to say but... well, you just need to manage it). that's the reason, you will become ffk queen among friends, last minute, material deadlines then your dates will just gone! haha!

seem stress? no worries, just to share with you guys some tips i used to release stress and balance up my stress level.

Tip #01
*love* zee avi. when im stress up, i will just keep playing her songs with my ipod touch while doing work or maybe early in the morning before leaving for work with speaker. jazz songs just lessen my tense and it is really important so that i can calm down and think properly. (i'm pretty emo+bad temper people, i will get on fire very fast, still learn to control my temper) my favourite song of her will be honey bee *nice nice*

Tip #02
and not to forget bejeweled. gaming will move your focus away from work and have your own little time. thanks to DiGi broadband, i can enjoy a pretty good broadband service though i'm stay at 25th floor. and it ease my life, i can do work & check my email though i'm out for whole day meeting. you just need to look for ways to make yourself work efficiently, that's one of the way.

recently, am influenced by both caryn & mio, i started to pack lunch from home.

caryn is having severe gastric problem so she needs to make sure she eats on time and having more good food (good food = food that more suitable for someone who has gastric problem? less oily, no spice, less ... less this less that foods hmm... sounds like patients huh? shhh... caryn will cubit me). mio le, pack lunch from home, so you can eat more healthy foods rather than oily+very-ajinomoto foods out there and mainly wanna save money. caroline le, getting new car soon *stress* means i need to be really careful in every single penny spent. gosh, my life is going to be tougher. life is getting tougher esp me this commitment freak :(

i was chit-chatting @ bistro with mio during lunch time the other day, "hey why you seem like long never update your blog huh??". guess what she replied me, "aiyo no content to update le, my life so boring, everyday go work, come back from work ..." *speechless*

what she said, true also. guess that's why i rarely update my blog too. if just blog for the sake of blogging, i believe you guys gonna be bored till death reading the same contents in every single blog entry. no way, not what i will do ;) i won't choose to torture you guys this way.

hmm. i have to stop having this kind of stupid boring life cause life is too short for me to waste it this way, no way! must find a way to make it to be more colorful. i don't wanna end up my life like bluefish. she kept complaining how meaningless her life now is in singapore, and yet still don't wanna listen to me, come back malaysia (at least she got 4C to entertain her).

*ting* maybe i should share more about my works. yay, maybe i can write a series of blog entries regarding life in advertising??? cool! ON! and maybe another series on save money tips, home packed lunch recipes ... cool cool cool! ON ON ON!

hmmm it's been a month after i back to work from my chinese new year break. argh life is hectic here :( hell a lot of deadlines. kinda emo for the past few weeks, feeling lost, don't really know what's the next step ...

won't write long for this post, wasn't feeling good, i have 3 ulcers now and seem like i'm getting sick very soon. i try to drink liter and liter of water, hope it helps.

when msn with friends today, quite a lot of them have already back to work or going back to work soon. and guess what, i still have another week of holiday to spend, enjoying as my daddy mommy girl ♥ kekekeke! *evil smile*

anyway, nothing to jealous about. been busy like crazy bitch since end of last year (after back to work, more to come *emo when think bout it*) and i seriously need a long break, else i'm going to burn out.

friends who can't read chinese been asking me about the last two chinese posts. hehe! they thought something happened to be cause the posts seem saddening *LOL* i didn't bring back my own cacat-ed laptop, using my bro's and i can type chinese so jari gatal lo. ok, englist post for today ;) and i'm going to talk bout how great to be daddy mommy girl ♥ (jealous???)

be daddy mommy girl ♥, you can:

1. sleep a lot. i know i sleep a lot in kl too but is really different. at home, foods are cooked the second you woke up, you just need to brush your teeth and tang tang, start eating.

2. eat a lot. mom will always ask me what i want to eat night before. see, great right? i can even order what i want to eat.

3. get a lot of huggies ♥ can hug my mom, my dad, my granny or even my bro & bestie anytime i want. i give hugs all the time, simply to show people i care, i love them ;)

4. no worries. yay, you have no worries bout working deadlines and all that. when you stressed up of works, they can just tell you, no worries, not happy just quit. omg! thanks for that but i wouldn't be so irresponsible.

5. get anything you want. haha don't be jealous, maybe i'm the only daughter in the family, that's why i can get what i want. which is kinda not good, in the sense, when i can't get something i want, i will EMO till max. hahaa!

last few nights, before i slept, i gave my mom a big hug and told her, next life, i still want to be her daughter, and my daddy too, of course.

daddy mommy love always that great till you can't even explain in words. they are one who can be with you anytime when you need them, give you selfless love and care. my daddy mommy is the best in the world! just want to say, i love them! (a lot a lot a lot ...)

i lie. im actually very sad. i lost my baby ipod touch T__T.

i was rushing out for meeting (been rushing around since i stepped in office, typical monday) and left my ipod touch on my working station. i did't realise it till i came home from meeting, at around 9-ish, unpack my bag and found out ...... my ipod touch wasn't inside my bag!!!

i was panic. i called up my colleagues. my intern told me it was there when she left but another friend who was still in the office checked like rounds BUT it is not on my desk.

my baby ipod touch been stolen!! it is my baby, it accompanied me when im lonely, im sad, im stress, im emo, im happy, anytime ...

i know the possibility to find it back is pretty slim but i will still shoot an email to everyone in the office tomorrow morning. hopefully that somebody decided to return my baby back to me *pray*

p/s: it was not a good day & i dreamt of myself dead last night :(((

hi all,

howie? merry christmas & happy new year! nah, i know i'm late BUT late is better than no right?! hehehee. so sorry for my long absence and thanks for still keep visiting my blog to check out if there's any updates constantly. **big hugs**

yay, i'm still busy busy with work as usual. this week is still okay, next week onwards gonna be ... NEW YEAR NEW HOPE! everything will be fine, i believe. hmm what am i going to share for my today 1st ever post of 2010? sure lah, my 2010 resolutions! hehee. but before this, shall we just have a quick review on the resolutions set last year?!

my last year resolutions in Happy 2009! :
#1 shed another few more kgs - nah, though i'm not 43-45kg yet but at least i maintain at 49kg kekekee! not too bad, working hard again this year!
#2 live life balance - going pretty well in the 1st three quarters till Q4, my stupid gastric attack me gao gao here again :( working harder this year!
#3 buy my 1st car* - hahaa. i'm getting it this coming march ;)
#4 travel - not too bad, i went to bali and taiwan. what's my plan this year???! still pending, any good suggestions?
#5 keep my long long hair back - yup, i'm in long hair, keeping it longer ;)

wow wow, not too bad my results for last year resolutions! hbu?? (hbu = how bout you)

let's review my resolutions for this year:

1. career - hopefully i will get promoted this year **cross-fingers praying damn damn hard** anyway, i believe, if you really putting in your efforts & heart in every piece of works assigned to you, you will can the recognition you supposed to get. i'm happy with where my baby brand, Dutch Lady YES! at now, in less than 1 year of launch, it already won 8 awards in malaysia & singapore; and it got very high gpc rating worldwide as well **HAPPY** i know my family & friends keep complaining bout my work; but these satisfactions i got are not something that can be explained in words and i simply love this kinda feeling, that's why i'm still here

2. car - yay, i'm gettting my 1st car this march!

3. travel - bangkok shopping trip ON! another long-self-retreat-relaxing vacation, where-go still pending, but it is a MUST trip kekee

4. stay healthy - i'm not aiming for 43-45kg this year but a healthy me!

5. blog more - yay!! i blog less and always busy with work the reason, pray for me to get a new laptop, so i won't have reason for no blogging anymore

do share with me what's your 2010 resolutions! and let's work hard to achieve all.

Getting Better!

Finally, Caroline making her return after exactly one month of absence. Time flies, many things happened within this particular one month. Ugly truths ... disappointment ... betrayed ... backstabbed ... tears ... exhausted ... hopeless ... Yay, it's really a very down and a month with negative atmosphere.

No worries, I can proudly tell you all out there now, "I'm getting better (be it the situation I'm in now or my sick) and I will getting even more better & stronger". I should stay focus with what I have planned and keep going; stay positive! All I'm facing now, and what I will facing in the very near future are obstacles to make me stronger. God is testing on me, can't be giving me things I want so easy then I will never learn to appreciate it.

I'm really better after this round of sick. I felt bad for throwing tantrum to my family, simply because I'm stressed up. Geez I'm still very low in emotional control :(

I have few tips to share when you feel you reach the bottle neck in your life:

1. Let it be. When comes to a situation that you can't change anything, just let it comes and deal with it. Think this way, after all, it is just making you more stronger.

2. Talk to family members & friends. Make sure you talk to one that positive not the one that will agree with all your negative thoughts, else you will be just drown by all those negative thoughts. Thanks my mommy, she is really a great friend of mine, she spent hours to comfort me, listen to me, make sure I'm fine here, take all tantrums I threw ... brainwashing me with lotsa positive possibilities. [I was wondering am I so emo and negative all because of 2012?? hahaha!]

3. Don't eat to destress but do something make you sweat like hell. Serious, it worked! I'm kinda hygiene freak, been busy till no time to wash the toilet. I'm sick and this morning I woke up by 6 to clean the house & my room, changed new bedsheets and washed toilet; after that I really feel release ... I sweat a lot a lot too!

4. Try to control yourself to speak out something one second later, it may make a big change. Hehe! I'm not sure bout others, but me, I will lost control scolding people and saying out words hurt when I'm stressed up *shy*

5. When you can't get things this way, change your way. This is what I believe, if you stay focus, you will always get to where you want; if you met any obstacles, just change your way, you will still getting where you want if you stay focus enough.

6. Treat yourself extremely good. Like what I will do, I will do pedi mani, changing nail color like nobody business. Know why? Cause you just throw those problems behind your head and focus doing one thing, it will help to lessen your tense.

7. If you really really really unhappy with current situation but can't change anything; maybe I can suggest you to go to change a new look. Yay! I just have a new hair cut ;) [can you imagine how stressed up I am now? hahaha!]

Leo Burnett, Agency of the Year in Kancil Awards 2009

Sorry for the late update here. Life is really busy recently, lots of deadlines are waiting to kill me off. it is 1am+ and my mind is still traffic-jamming with works, arghhh... Alright, just let me take a short break and forget about tons of work I'm having now cause work will never get done, don't you agree?

Last Friday was Kancil Awards 2009 night. Guess what ...

... my baby brand, Dutch Lady YES! won 1 Merit and 1 Bronze in Kancil Awards 2009. Baby brand? Ya, Dutch Lady YES! launched till to-date is less than a year, coming to its one year birthday soon. This new launch campaign was the first campaign that assigned to me when I just joined LB. It is really great to see my baby brand growing till the results we achieve to-date. People were saying FMCG accounts will never won in Kancil Awards, but we make it, some more is for milk, the f**king god damn boring white fluid, sorry I'm just joking. Hehehe! It is really great and challenging to work on this account though, how you change people perception on milk till they change their behavior to something positive, like increasing their milk consumption (err ... sounds so business buzz), anyway, it is real cool, isn't it?

Will power, I would like to share. I still remember the first time I attended Kancil Awards night, it was one year back when I just joined LB (Yay, I been with this account for 1 year+ d). Super duper jealous to see people went up to the stage to receive the awards, and I told myself, "hmm ... next year is going to be my turn to step on the stage to get the recognition on works I have done ..." and I DID IT! I'm really happy =) Thanks God for giving me the chance to work with great people so that only my dream comes true.

Special credits to Karen (my boss who shape me for who I am today), Patrick (my manager who guide & give me the supports when I'm indeed), Bee Lin (my ex-teammate who taught & guide me a lot), Yew Leong (tan sri, who is really great to work with), Seong (niceee Art Director though he always bully me haha, joking), Paul (the copywriter who I argued with before), Ken Wong (self-acclaimed leng chai visualiser), Rasydan (my Producer who is having his one year unpaid leave in UK now, damn good life!), MFX team (Geoff, Sidney and the team, you guys are really cool =P) and others who support me all the while, of course of dearest family too.

You guys are really awesome! It is really fun working with you all, let us continue the fun! YES! for the right to play.

Yaya, not to forget Leo Burnett won Agency of the Year in Kancil Awards 2009. We all were shocked when announced this award goes to us. My belief: work hard, and you will sure get paid for all the hard works, so stop complaining but putting in more efforts if you really want something. [Meaning it's time to continue my work hahaha! No, I think rest will help me move further so sleeping time keke]

I need money $$$!

I'm dead broke now. Please, I'm broke not because after my Taiwan shopping trip k. I start taking lead the current unit we're renting now. My ex-houseleader is moving out, he just bought a new house! *clap clap* (wondering when will be my turn to own one ...) I have to buy over those electrical appliance from him, that's why I'M DEAD BROKE X_____X

And I know this dead-broke-situation is going to take me months to recover. No choice BUT Carol!ne being herself, she had already got some crazy saving tricks in her mind and she had already practiced some:

1. Cut down eating out. I stocked up instant noodle, milo, 1 litre pack Dutch Lady UHT milk, cereals, fruit juice and my favorite Tiger sugar cracker! I can have different choices of the day for my dinner though I'm busy busy during weekdays. And during weekends when I get to have more time, I will cook myself pasta, porridge or pancake. It's not too bad right?! How bout my craving for sushi then? No worries, it solved :) Isetan KLCC start having 50% off for the sushi they have from 7.30pm onwards!

2. No more spontaneous shopping! Jot down what you need in a shopping list and only buy what in your list to avoid yourself from buying unnecessary stuffs. Being girl, I will always lost my mind, even grocery shopping, I'm trying hard to control myself from buying extra vegetables & fruits cause I know I just buy it for the sake of buying it, not like I can finish it. Damn me! Thus, it is my advice to everyone out there to list it down what you have and only shop for what you need, maybe at the end of month, before your pay then you wouldn't so "generous" in shopping. Bring a calculator if you need it :) For me, I will always take what I need and have a last round of checking whether do I need those before I go to cashier counter.

3. Cut down movie outing. Watch your favorite movie only on Wednesday, the movie day if you really want to throw yourself for a movie treatment. And bring your own junk foods & bottle water. I'm glad to be in LB to get my favorite drinks in 50 cents, that's why we LB-ers won't have soft drinks outside, we will have fresh juices instead :) One more option, download the movie you love and watch it at home, you can have your junks and soft drink while enjoying the movie at home too.

4. Spend your weekend at home. You can occupy your weekend with great activities too! You can go for a jog at the area you are staying, go for a swim at the pool in your condo, doing house keeping, enjoy what you love like reading a book or painting and you can even choose to sleep through your weekend just like ME! I'm proud with this ability so please don't call me during weekends if nothing important. You can choose to leave me a message and I will try to get back to you soonest possible if it is something important.

5. Stop buying magazinesssss & novels. Argh I know me, myself. I spent quite some amount of money in buying magazines and novels every month. Solution: you can go to Kinokuniya (good environment!) & spend your day there reading whatever magazines/books/novels you love without paying single cents. Note: make sure you eat full full before going there, eating in KLCC there gonna cost you a bomb! What I do is, I will go after lunch, then I can buy my 50% discount sushi at Isetan before heading home. One stone kills two birds, I can read magazines/novels/books I like and solve my sushi craving too!

6. Selling out your 2nd hand clothes. Arghh I'm clearing out some space in my wardrobe to put in my new bought clothes from Taiwan. It's not because I'm lazy to unpack, just simply I need more space. I'm at the mid of clearing those unwanted clothes. [Benson, thanks for your offer, an extra wardrobe for free, it will just making my shopping sickness getting worse. I will keep shopping to make sure my wardrobe is fulled with clothes ><]

You can apply for Digital Tour Buddy from the site linked, a phone that allows you to make local calls, international calls & send text messages. It does come with useful directory and other function that you might needed in case anything happen when you are in Taiwan ♥. All you need to do is, send your online application 7days before your departure date, collect it at the Tourist Information Center when you reach, reload it at any marts in town & you're ready to use it!

2. Taipei Railway Administration
Check the trains' schedule online to better plan your itinerary. You may buy your ticket when you are there =)

Be Thankful

This evening, my beloved cousin sister sent me a link and told me that her uncle passed away. I was shocked when I read about the news. I really can't imagine that this kind of accident would happened to people around me.

The time when she told me all these through Skype, I was like kept replying her "omg ... I really can't imagine that ...". Surprisingly she is stronger than what I thought, she was telling me not to think so much, life is still go on.

These few days, I think quite a lot, about ... everything. I realized when we getting older, you will see the other dimension of the life, it is not always follow the way you want it to be. If it does for you, you really need to be thankful. Life is unpredictable. It is so unpredictable till you have no hint what is going to happen next.

For me, I think I am pretty lucky. I know what I want and always get what I want. Of cause, when time passed, when things don't get your way, I learn to accept the fact that sometimes you will be disappointed with things happened around you. However, it doesn't matter, it make you immune. Just appreciate what you have, live life fullest =)

At upon of time, I was thought of giving up something I wanted so much (secret!) but I tell myself, it is glad that I have something I wanted so much. Put in the efforts and we shall wait for the results. This is the belief for me to continue to pursue what I wanted so badly.

My mom is not a career woman but a typical housewife that has her own thought [She is superwoman for me ;)]. She always tell me, "darling, taking things slower, step by step, what for you are pushing yourself so much, you should learn to smell the flowers around you" ...

A lot of people only realized how importance family meant to them when they went through certain tearful situation. YES, I did when I was secondary school. I used to be like any other teenagers that is so stubborn and will never listen to advices given till one day, my mom been hospitalized. I still remember clearly the time when she was crying and looking for me, she felt scared being alone ... I start to wake up from my naive behavior. I know I'm type of person that will never let myself regret, so I learn to view things from different angles, what's their standpoints and take advices as something for me to improve. And be thankful enough, this is the way how it shaped me today ;)

Thanks mommy & I will always love you. And my dad, plus everybody in family. Thanks God for me having such a great family. They will never selfish in giving their loves and cares. They are always be there whenever you need them. They are wonderful!

EXCITED! Caroline is getting very very excited now and have already start counting down to her be-lated graduation holiday to Taiwan!!!

Taiwan - heaven of food & shoppingggggggggggg!! [OMG OMG!! I'm getting so excited now. Know why?! I been stopping myself from doing a massive shopping for so many months and now is the time to explode!]

I'm ready for my holiday!! After my two presentations on Friday, I will really on holiday mood d *wink wink* I need a break, else I will be swinging to no-where. The symptom is started d that's why I NEED A HOLIDAY!!!

GRRR! "Tuesday" Blue!

I'm super duper tired after my long trip back from hometown. Everything was so great though we been caught in a massive jam but we had our yummy late dinner followed by a spontaneous movie night ... [Orphan is great! I love Max, she is so adorable and yet Esther is really really good in acting is such a young age. Two thumbs up for the movie.] ...

... no, no, no ... I'm not going to talk bout the movie or my fantastic swimming-mare, which get me so f**king exhausted this morning and seem like will collapse in anytime ...

I'm really really not in the mood d and received an XXX email making my mood getting even worse. I got an email from CityInn2 (the hotel near Taipei Main Station which I intend to stay for the first two nights for my coming Taiwan trip on this coming 15th Sept). This guy, called Johnny was sending me the email saying my booking is canceled. I'm like what the f**k!!

I had confirmed my booking like weeks ago and why suddenly send me an email saying my booking is canceled. It's really pissed me off cause earlier, I wanted to stay at CityInn which is more nearer to Taipei Main Station. I confirmed my booking but there's no news after that confirmed email then after weeks (I did sent them few emails) then only they replied me, "Sorry, all rooms been booked" ... what the ... and fine they recommend me for the other branch.

Everything was fine. I confirmed my booking and they confirmed at their side too and today I got that stupid email. GRR! I had sent them an email asking them to explain for this matter, else I'm going to send a complaint letter or whatever you going to name them letter to Taiwan Tourism Board.

They are promoting Visit Taiwan Year in Malaysia this year. 2 weeks before I step in the country, this stupid incident happened. I'm a bit ... really wonder why is it people saying Taiwan people are friendly, yes, maybe they are friendly but I really doubt with the services I'm going to get when I eat there, shop there ... ....

Hopefully, it won't turn me off my good impression to Taiwan :( *emo emo*

Babysitting

Since when Caroline becoming a babysitter. Is she so desperate for more money till this stage??! OMG OMG OMG!

No lah. End of last month, there's actually a PIKOM PC Fair at KLCC Convention Center. My bb laptop KONG jo, and yet I'm so damn poor to get another new one so I "cheated" my brother to buy a mini notebook. Kakaka! He is in Singapore, meaning that I can use first till we met to pass the new bb we are getting to him. {Clever ni this Miss Caroline *wink wink*]

I called him up on the Saturday morning and shared this "business case" with him, out of my surprise, he said, OKAY! Checked out some models and we decided to get Toshiba NB200 chocolate color. Cio man!~ Though the price is much more expensive if comparing to other brands, but what we love the most is the "touchy" feeling the keypad gave and the design is really really cio!~

I used it for like one month time and I'm in love with this new bb. [used - means I had returned it to the owner, my brother. It really suits me, ON-THE-Go type :) I brought it to work with me the other day cause I was having a whole day meeting in Dutch Lady (my Client), and yet I got so many artworks that need to send to Client for approval, but I won't be going back office. HOW? HOW? HOW? Haha luckily I have this temporary bb for mine, I bring it together with me. He is so gorgeous that caught the attention of everybody, making me, the temporary mommy so proud of him.

And I'm telling myself, don't care! I'm going to get another one Toshiba NB200, chocolate color too. There are pink, white and blue but it looked ugly in those colors, what I think, hehe! I'm kinda gadget person, I need attention, any sort of attention and I believe my this gonna be again new bb is gonna draw all the attention for others to me *wink wink* [san san, sure will shouting this at me: BEH PAI SEH LAH U, BITCH!]

Alright, it's 6.27pm now, and it is Friday. There's a long weekend ahead waiting for me. And guess what, I'm going back to my home sweet home - ALOR STAR. One mission: get my uncle to sign his credit card paying for my new bb Hahaha! So mean!

We are celebrating Leo Burnett's 74th Anniversary this year! And the theme for this year is "something different". Does it means no green apple? NO! We don't have fresh green apple but green apple cookies. Hehehe.

And yea! something different - we are steamboat-ing in the Bistro! Haha! BUT why don't we have something more creative?! Shabu Shabu with Sushi Bar (even more creative suggestion - can be convey belt that type)!

So sad, we used to have a big birthday party twice a year and now - ALL ONE SHOT!! Everyone will have one cupcake today.

Last but not least, our traditional - ANG PAW!! In USD! But I'm not going to tell you how much it is, bluek!

Seriously, time flies. It was just like yesterday when we celebrated LB 73th Anniversary last year. It's been 18 months me with LB. And I love LB! I have so much of memories here, tears ... laugh ... everything. It's a mark in my life stages too.

what a sad "truth" ...

This afternoon, out of sudden, San San told me, if she is a GUY, "he" will not fall in love with me. Then, I asked Ken, my university close friend (now no more cause he is busy tackling siu mui mui in Seremban HAHAHA), he said the same thing too.

OMG so sad! Reasons given by them - one word, LAME! They said I looked "unstable", "flower heart", love to flirt around like nobody business ... BUT the truth is I'm not!! Wat me! F*cking god damn bad ar they two!

I'm actually very guai, why saying so, cause my life is so predictable. Everyday guai guai go work, after work, guai guai go home sleep, weekends also sleep sleep sleep, else series series series ... (so sad right, having such a boring life) And I'm very loyal to person I love too, which is a bit stupid & idiot, sometimes!

See so good. San San, still want to choose KX, don't want me?! But KX choose me wor, so our relationship is becoming jaring makanan like that ... which I think, yes, it is for love. Love, it is always like that, this guy love you but you love another guy, which the guy you like is actually like another girl ... so "jaring makanan" Hahaha!

Sorry, I guess Mandy is spreading the bullshit-ing virus to me ... So, it's just a lame post to tell everybody I'm still alive ;)

P/S: I will be going to Penang this weekend - holiday? Nope, for work. Sad right?! Weekend also work, that's my life ... sad sad sad ...

Memories of Yasmin (Written by Indra Irwan)

It's been weeks Yasmin did left us. Just to share with you guys a meaningful speech given by our colleague during our get-together in studio after Yasmin's funeral on the Monday. It simply touched our heart and tears dropped like nobody business ...

For many people, when they think of Yasmin Ahmad, they think of the commercials and movies she has produced. Even though her body of work is undeniably wonderful, that is not what I think of when someone mentions Yasmin’s name.

I won’t claim that I know her that well, nor am I that close to her. A lot of other people knew her better and longer. But the beauty of Yasmin Ahmad is that you don’t have to be that close to her to know what kind of person she was.

Every time Yasmin comes into the office, she would be singing at the top of her lungs, not a care in her voice. When she passes the MD’s room, and sees him, she would shout “Ah Eng ah, Ah Eng!”. There was such bounce in her steps and we all looked at her with envy every time she goes lovey-dovey with her husband. She treated everyone equally nice, even the cleaners. She would joke with you, or play around with you, or at the very least she would be cordial with you, even if she doesn’t know you. You can come to her room at almost anytime, and just talk to her, and she would never turn you away.

In LB, we always talk about HumanKind. If there is ever a personification of the HumanKind spirit, it would be Yasmin Ahmad.

Yasmin was someone who was not afraid to stand up for what she believed in. No matter what people felt about her and her work, she just kept being herself. She was true to her faith and no one could tell her otherwise. And she was humble. If she was to hear us giving her all these praises, she would just rubbish it all and say she is nothing. Rather than be something, she would rather be nothing and at the same time a part of something bigger.

A couple of days before Yasmin fell ill, I approached her as I wanted to ask for her advice on a personal project that I was working on. She was busy and was doing her own work but she didn’t tell me to come back later. She just smiled and said “Sure!”, even though she didn’t have to. She took time and gave me some words of advice that I will remember for a long time.

I’m sure everyone has their very own special memory of Yasmin. It’s hard to believe that we won’t be able to have more of those memories. I’m even half-expecting her to just come into the office again, singing for all to hear. The way she has affected our lives, whether directly or indirectly, is incredible. Even the Bangladeshi guy from the sundry shop downstairs of our office was at her funeral, proof that she made a difference to a lot of people.

But to me, she is not really gone. She still lives on inside us. With every kind gesture, with every joyous laughter, with every sincere smile, with every joke she made, Yasmin lives in our memories. Her philosophies, her way of seeing things, all have left a mark in our souls. And she will continue to live on in every one of us as long as we make an effort to be more like her. Instead of mourning her passing, we should celebrate her life and the way she lived her life. We should continue carrying the messages that she has been trying to deliver all these years. We should be as caring and compassionate as her. We should strive to give the best in whatever we do just like her. But most importantly, we should live life like Yasmin Ahmad did.

Life is fragile & really really unpredictable.

Days before, I was telling him happily that I'm going to write him an email instead to share some "bloody good news" (for me) since he is always busy, busy, and busy. But I didn't. Within these couples of days, my emotions were riding ups and downs. Good news-email?! Now, no more. I would say I start "closing" myself to all these again ... We are having QBR this coming week. The works of brands I handling, both Yes! and Friso got very good rating from Yasmin. During the rating session, she was sharing how she felt for Teoh's fiancee. It was so sad and she gonna make a movie out of it ...

As usual, if she is in town, every mornings she came with Yew Leong, she sure will greet us when she passed by our place. And thou 3 years of marriage, both of them still very much in love. Two lovey-dovey couple :)

The day she collapsed, just right before she going to TV3 and lunch with her hubby, she was kacau-ing us while we were having our lunch in bistro. Hours, news about she was collapsed was announced. My heart was jumping hard, and I been thinking to myself, why ... why ... why all these kept happen ... She is such a great person. She is kind. She is down-to-earth. She is an inspirational person ... why is life so unfair. If anything happen to her, how will Yew Leong be? You were sad for Teoh's fiancee and you can't be doing this to him since you love him so much ...

On the Friday morning, TKE was telling us, she was stable and asked us to be positive and pray for her. Then, Saturday night, just before we manage to pay her a visit on Sunday morning, she left us ... the scene of Yasmin & Yew Leong holding hands, lovey-dovey walking to the lift was the last memory she gave to me.

Ya, everyone should be strong. God loves her so much and so He wants her to go back to his side.

Life ... life ... life ...

What I would say, do whatever you wanna do so there's no regret in your life.

Be strong, Yew Leong.
